Stories are approximately 30-40 minutes in length and cost $19.95 per story.
If you choose the CD format, shipping charges (of $3 per order) will apply. (for an additional $2, your child's picture can be printed on the front of the CD, along with the title of the story)
Please allow Penny 7 days to create and record your child's story (and additional time for shipping if ordering a CD)
PayPal is the only method of payment that Penny accepts at this time.
Creating a Customized Story
You are free to share as much or as little with Penny as you would like when ordering your story. If Penny knows that your child is a 9 year old boy named Tommy who likes outdoor adventures and history and happens to have a pet alligator named George Washington . . . you will receive a much different story than the one she created for 6 year old Sophia who has 3 older brothers and spends every waking moment dressing up as a princess and holding tea parties with her imaginary friends!
So share with Penny whatever you would like, but a simple guideline to follow is:
child's first name
child's age
siblings or pet's first names
types of books they tend to read or enjoy (adventure, mystery, science fiction, etc)
some of their interests or hobbies (soccer, dinosaurs, collecting rocks, painting, reading, etc.)
anything else you feel is important or you would like Penny to be aware of or sensitive to (child lives in a single parent family, his favorite grandpa just died, a new sibling just entered the family, she is being bullied at school, he is short for his age and having a really hard time with that, etc.) . . . . stories can sometimes reach beyond pure enjoyment and provide comfort, identification and healing in some of life's difficult situations
